This 3 day long weekend was a weekend full of win. Due to the cars indeed, but also, mostly so due to the people. Lets take some time for the people.
Late thursday night, Danny D, Dan and Myself all chipped in to get the Boso road worthy in time to get the car down to visit Dunkz from Garage LSD for first thing Friday morning.. after a very late finish we called it a night and got up a few (3 and a half) hours later to get back to work on it. I was waiting for a new bumper to show up and also the most important thing.. paint. However.. It didnt show till late on. Here was the car almost done..
Now keep in mind – The bumper/lip combo isnt on, the paints in need of well.. paint and heaps of other shit.. this is just a run through.
Friday afternoon Danny D and I headed on south via one of the best touge routes around here.. fastly becoming my favourite!
Had to stop to ‘roll out’ a few issues 😉
More on the my MX to come 😉 Anyway, So massive shouts to Mr D.. for taking me around in his mini. Even after we got lost and ended up in a rock field and getting the MX stuck in a hole.. So on route back up, The mini ended up in a little adventure! We ended up up somewhere which we didnt know where, and stubbled across this.
No Name Heroes.. We have no clue who they are, Where they are from.. or infact, if it was real at all! Could be CGI.. I dunno.. 🙂
“I’ve seen that diffuser before somewhere?” – Soph and I decided to go to Edinburgh and pay a visit to our good friend Gary. (Owner of the CA18DET powered Micra pickup truck) – While Gary was at hand playing with another MX5.. I decided to add a couple of touches to the little micra 😉
Gary is a true gent – Put it this way, if your in any kind of position.. where you would do anything for a mechanic to fix what ever problem youv found yourself in.. he’s the man for the job. Hero spec member of the Minty.Fresh crew. Sophie’s NB2 getting some much needed treatment.
That MUCH needed lows..
Soaps now tucking in all 4 😉 – Again, alot more to come on that…
We got up the road and Kyle mentioned he wanted to hang out, So.. we decided to pull a few of my wheels out the garage and do some test fitting 🙂
Thats only a small amount of wheels kicking about lol. Need more though – You’ll also notice, some almost new and Yokohama AO48’s in the top right.. those are to go on some Impuls to match the current Toyo R888’s. Again, Shout out to Gary for those.. although, getting those 2 home from Edinburgh in the MX5.. left me with NIL space.. and I mean NIL.
We need to convince Kyle to rock these.. My old RS Watanabe R Type’s (14×8.5 -13 offset, 4×114.3) – With a slight roll and flare, the fronts would sit flush, the backs would need a bit more, but damm.. it looked out of this world hot! Exactly the fitment the teg needs to get out of the crowd and get the attention it deserves.
Boso DC2? Oh yeah, and I finally got a new car.. Thanks to Andy and Emily over in Japan at Powervehicles. A JZX100 Chaser Tourer V with Kaaz 2 way and various other toys.
So all in a great weekend – Full of cars, friends, road trips, mods, Japanese wheels, auctions, skids, touge battles, e-brake entries and Burger Kings. 4 more days.. and its Awsumfest! Then 4 more work days.. and its JAPAN! WIN!
