Shooting cars for features can be an art, an art that shouldn’t be rushed but sometimes you just have to work with the time you get given.
Our very own Minto San has … what can we say ….. a skill of managing to lose track of time? To be honest that’s an understatement lol
So really it wasn’t a surprise when in the end, what I had planned to be a solid hour (at least) photoshoot had turned into a 10 minute rush I knew I would have to grab the goods!
Luckily I knew what I wanted and how to get it quickly, so with the help of Mr D we set about some rolling shots
Mint couldn’t resist a lil sideways action!
Once we were done with the road shots it was time for some static stuff
A nice tree-lined lane did the trick!
To think this car was a total beater 6 months ago is pretty impressive! Mint transferred a lot of the parts from his old “Shark Nose” MX5 but this time included the Garage Vary front end which imo looks 100 time better than the OEM MX5 pop ups.
The Watanabes were carried over too
Along with the duckbill boot/Project G roof wing
Pretty happy with what we got in 10 mins, makes me think I should maybe start rushing through shoots all the time!
One thing is always for sure though, you can never rely on “Mint Time”
