The Boring part:
Takata Corporation, a Japanese manufacturer of automotive safety systems and products for vehicles, has reached an agreement to acquire SCHROTH Safety Products GmbH, a German manufacturer of safety products for the racing, aviation and military sectors, from BAE Systems plc.
BAE Systems is a UK-based designer and manufacturer of military aircraft, space systems, surface ships, submarines, avionics, radars, command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems, electronic systems and guided weapon systems.
In addition, Takata also agreed to acquire BAE Systems Safety Products Inc. from BAE Systems.
So what does this mean to you or I?.. Well for a start a price drop. Thats right; In Japan you can pick up a brand new set of Takata’s off the shelf for a fixed price of Y49,000. Which in todays rates converts to roughly £390. This was the Autobacs price and yes some may say its expensive; however its never changed! Until now.
Before we discuss money; Lets look at the line up…
