Where do I begin? Perhaps ill go from the start…
Mint: Hey guys, what are your plans on Saturday? It’s my birthday, are you up for doing some skids?
Us: Sure man! Great idea! Lets bring a tow rope just in case Jites decides to fly off the cliff….
We should stop saying stuff like that…
Its coming. Finalboss Drift Matsuri held at Driftland in Scotland, UK.
Over the course of the last 6 months of so, a bunch of us have been prepping and upgrading our cars, to get them tuned in and ready for this weekend of banter.
FINALBOSS was an invite only sorta deal, Minty.Fresh were honoured to be invited along and figured we should probably bring our A game to the tables.. This would require alot of time, cash and seat time.
Minty.Fresh will be represented by 4 drivers on the weekend. Myself in the JZX100 Chaser, Mr D in his NA6 Eunos, Jites in his s14a and Pete, In his turbo charged SXE10 Altezza. This post will show you a few things we’ve been up to, to get things in place.. We’ve also got our spare MX5’s making the trip down and of course our resident media crew, Thacko and Kyle for all our photo/video needs.
Driftland is now well underway and Minty.Fresh were on hand once again to hit up the track and also grab some media
So, last Saturday; Driftland had their 1st practice day and Team Minty.Fresh was there! Despite the typical weather; we made the effort to go down anyways…
Since this is a brand new track; it’s still super oily from the tarmac. That plus the rain, made it difficult for some people. Never the less everyone still pushed through and we got some decent pics… here you go!
Here’s a small video TK edited up a year ago which we never released. I just re watched it and felt it needed to be shared. Its not your usual fast paced modern slow mo-dub stuff.
Just a mellow video, mainly of me just getting used to the Chaser.. It was a big change going from the MX5 to the bus, Almost twice the length, and power easy. I still dont know where the back is on this thing yet! :p
We need to get the crew back there for more fun times. That place really is the drift heaven.
Just watched this video by a lad by the name of Taylor Wright who posted it up on DW. Had to share this.
The level to do Minami the right way is more than anything iv had to try in this country! I wanna do it again!
